What ki8nd of oil filter do I need for a 1962 Chevy short be

Postby BryanTbone » Tue Nov 03, 2009 1:48 am

I recently assumed a ',62 Chevy short bed, and I have to change the oil. I think the filter type is a replicable part type not the turn on type . can anybody tell me what kind of filter I need, and where to get it? The engine is a straight six type. I',m new to the whole mechanic thing, Thanks.

Look online at the Fram or Purolater websites they should have the part number, you may have to special order it from your local parts store, again, call them or look online you may want to get two or three while you're at it for the next not many filter changes . as well, you may be able to order from jcwhitney.com lots of parts for older vehicles
