What year did the dodge challenger begin mass production?

please tell me when in the 60's was tye dodge challenger begin mass production

1970 was its 1st year.

Now, based on the car, 1970 model year most likely started selling in 1969, so mass production could have begun sometime in the late spring or throughout the summer of '69.

1970 with 1970 models showing up in dealers in August and September of 1969. They most likely started building them in late July or Early August. The last year was 1974. Then in the 80's they put a "Challenger" badge on a Mitsubishi for a several years. The Mitsubishi was a Sapporo. They were fast little cars. I nearly talked a new car dealer into running my 1970 440 Challenger against one of his pocket rockets for pink slips but he decided against it.

Well it really came out in 1968 if I remember with the dodge challenger R/T. It came with the base 145hp 225 c.i Six Slant only 906 were made. the 230 318 V 8, the 290 383 V 8, and the 330 HP 383 V 8. but the challenger r/t came with 375HP 440 V 8. But also the 425 Hemi 426 was available as a 605$ choice.
