pop the distributor cap and clean it. get al teh green fur off the brass contacts. clean teh rotor arm, and replace teh air filter.
you may have to turn up the T/O to around 13 15oo RPM.

i'd also go with auto choke not working though I had alike problem with my saab and turned out to be feul metering unit

you may have a spark plug fault.
also do not pump your accelerator when starting the car as you could flood the engine but i'd say that you could need a battery as it looks to be recharging as your driving but no juice before that

it sounds like U have a flawed choke, if it has a cab on it U will need a new one as the auto chokes r hard to fix, U can put a manual one on tho.
if its fuel injected, there can be a problem with the ecu, or just a engine temp sensor
