1st you'll need the make/model/year of car and if you aren't a mechanic, it can be best to have the job done by a professional. Not to say you will not succeed, it is somewhat timely if you haven't performed this task earlier. but, check out this site ~ faqfarm.com/Q/How_do_you_put_on_new_rotors_and_disc_brakesfaqfarm.com/Q/How_do_you_put_on_new_rotors_and_disc_brakes">faqfarm.com/q/how_do_you_put_.

Here's to safe driving. good luck and be prepared to get your hands greasy.

WELL THE ONLY THING I do not KNOW IS ARE THE ROTORS PART OF THE HUB OR DO THEY JUST COME OFF THE HUB SEPERATELY, OTHER WISE JUST TAKE THE CALIPERS OFF, then YOU NEED A C CLAMP TO PUSH THE BRAKE PLUNGER BACK . LEAVE THE OLD PAD ON THE PLUNGER AND PUT THE C CLAMP ON AND PUSH THE PLUNGER IN THEN PUT THE NEW PADS ON AND screw THE CALIPER BACK ON .

Honestly, you do not really have to look for information. Installing rotors and brakes are quite easy.

I did a brake and rotor job on a 96 Altima not too long ago. just, you take the wheel off, remove the two screws typically on the back side holding the 1st part of the caliper on, then remove the bracket screws holding the second part of the caliper, and you take a rubber mallet or just use your foot to kick at one side of the rotor to loosen and remove it.

Sometimes the rotors are rusted on. If you can not get them off by kicking at them, attempt using PB Blast or any kind of screw loosening spray to kill some of the rust around the hub. If all else fails, hit it with a hammer presuming you'll be replacing the rotors .

Now if you have problems installing the new rotors, I have found that using sand paper to cut down the rust on the hubs lets for the rotor to slip on much easier.

it isn't hard.take off the tire using suited lifting and support techniques to get it in the air then there are two bolts holding the caliper to the bracket and two bolts holing the bracket to the spindle clean up the hub flange the part with the wheel studs sticking out of it after you get the rotor off then clean and lube the area where the pad rides ensuring be aware of the postion of the wear indicators, then install the new pads in the bracke put the rotor on then screw everything back up and be sure everything is tight make sure to pupm up the brake before moving the car as you wont have any brakes till then
