Where To Run Power Cable For Golf Mark 4 1.8t GTI?

Hi

the big problem with running cables to the rear from the battery is the voltage loss if the wire isn't heavy enough. also the possibility that the wire will get hot as you draw too much current it can start a fire.

consult an expert is the best solution.

if its just a sub woofer that's also a subject to contact a car radio expert about as some of these units consume big amounts of power.

the sound will also be effected as the wire become an inductor influencing the bass answer.

if your car is a drivebywire, which it most likely is. then you may want to have a grommet right where the throttle cable used to go through. you may want to be able to see it when you open the hood and get a flash light into the area. you may be able to remove that grommet and run the power cable through there, down the side the car and under the back seat into your hatch.
