you must choose depending on your priorities. they're both greatly theoretically groundbreaking, honored, and lavish car manufacturers. There are examples in some regions of BMWs having slight performance benefits, where Audis usually get higher marks in style and surely in exclusivity with their relative rarity. still, Audi's best are usually considerably better performers than BMW, both on the street and track. The Infineon R8 Le Mans racer is a three time champion, one year having a tremendous margin of victory. On the street, the 450 HP twin turbo RS6 easily smokes an M5, though it's now out of production. The new RS4 will make an M3 look silly with almost 100 more hp. Audi's DSG transmission steadily gets better reviews than SMG, and is the design to be used in the 1.25 million dollar, 1,000 hp Bugatti Veyron, a design seen in the new A3 and TT 3.2. Still, BMW produces a superb line of cars. Many have been disgusted with the iDrive systems, and dependability may be troublesome with BMWs insistence on greatly complex systems like Active Roll and Valvetronic. finally, in this price group, the customer must make the choice depending on how the car makes you FEEL when you drive it. My TT makes me happy. It is not a road burner, but the handling is great, the design is stunning, and I have money left in my wallet. I love it.

When comparing both vehicles in all possible plans, it was time to decide particular vehciles from each company. I chose the BMW 328i and the Audi A4. I believe the 328i is still the benchmark in its class for the true enthuiast driver, primarily because of its excellent engine, and the fact that it still easily outhandles the Audi. you are going to get much better lap times in the 328i than you could in the Audi. but, the gap between the two cars narrows considerably when you think about them daily drivers that have to do many things well, especially winter driving. Factor in price, ownership cost, and the less costly Audi becomes a viable alternative to the 328i. it's a executed, good looking, and fun car that's sure to put more pressure on BMW to hit a great slain with the next generation three series, which is surely something to look forward to.

Ok...everyone else covered all of the good technical stuff...let me go a different path. The audi will get you through the snow of winter. The BMW will end up on the side of the road or a ditch. Go with the front wheel drive.
Plus..I freaking love mine. I researched both before buying and the Audi A4 won hands down.

BMW does things like make their holders sign a Non Disclosure when there are mechanical issues before the dealer will fix it 'under warranty'.
Gives you a warm cozy, no?
If you think not, do some research on airbags in the X5.
Besides that, both cars are over priced.
