the Toyota is,its much better than the Honda is, as far as service and dependability goes, its a better mini van,good luck.

The toyota sienna is better. the odyssey has transmission problems, well hondas have transmission problems. if I had to decide between the two it could be the sienna. hope this helps.

i was a passenger in a sienna for a 19hr trip to chicago. it was comfy ride. I'll propose the sienna myself

What I could do if I were you, is buy yourself a current buyer reports booklet, and check out the dependability ratings. Personally I could take the Honda over the Toyota, but that is because I have owned three honda cars. And my mother owned a 1996 Honda Odyssey, which ran virtually flawless to 110k miles, when she traded it in. I think the only thing that was ever replaced was a muffler clamp. I personally could not tell the "Pontiac Montana" given Gm's history of dependability. And on a personal note the particular cars I have owned were a 1994 Honda accord lx sedan. A 1999 Honda accord V6 Coupe. And now my 2006 Honda civic sedan. The 99 had to have the alternator replaced, on the side from that, none of these cars have ever done anything accept run =P In my book you can not get a higher quality build in a car for the money. But it is a matter of personal choice. I hope my comment helped :
