It depends totally on which years and models you are talking about, i.e. an Enzo will beat pretty much any production Porsche ever built, but the Carrera GT will outperform most other Ferrari models. The current Ferrari 599 is pretty much on par with the Carrera with some past models, F50, etc.

My porch is stuck to the front of my house so it'll not be most of a race. but if you're referring to the car PORSCHE the Ferrari has considerably more power and could most likely win the race.

Well, if your talking about a real race on a race track, Porsche has more wins than any Ferrari except in Formula 1. The 911 alone has won more races than any other make or model in it is 40 year history.

That's because most Ferrari models are made for less than five years.

First and primary it matters who the driver is. A good driver in a Carolla will outrun a bad driver in a ferrari/porsche.
Second, it matters what kind of race. A race on a racetrack? Drag strip? Oval? Street race? Dirt track race? Endurance race?
Third it matters which ferrari and which porsche. Its like asking if a chevy could beat a dodge in a race. A corvette could be a caravan, but a viper could beat an aveo in a race. Porsche has made hundreds of different cars over the last 50+ years, as has ferrari in the last 60.
To the bad seed: Porsche has more race victories than any other car maker by a big margin. They have the two fastest laptimes ever recorded by street cars not as well as some trackday specials like the Radical SR8 around the nurburgring.
To Mclaren: I wouldnt say the enzo is faster than a Carrera GT. It may have more power, but the Carrera GT puts down some totally crazy laptimes, as well as the fastest laptime at the Nurburgring 7:28., and the fastest on Hockenheim 1:08.6, 3.5 seconds faster than the 599, and a full second faster than any other stock street car ever . It was a also faster than an enzo at Variano, ferraris own home track, on a single day of testing, with the same driver.

I had to comment that quarterdime42's answer to mrhan1's is nonsense. If Ferrari made a new car every five year which they do not because the 430 is an evolutionary step up from the 360 and they were not beaten what is the purpose? His answer alone is asinine in that respect.
Even although the 911 was in production for well over 40 years. it is not close to the same car today. Only the sillouette is the same and the engine is still in the rear behind the wheels. Besides, that nothing is the same.
