of the answers I got, was ',what could you usually do get it checked dumb, quote/unquote

I just asked a civil question so I could determine if I looked at a big fix bill

rather than a simple fix

I have never understood this. If someone reads a question that doesn',t seem to them as respectable of an answer, they shouldn',t react. Many impolite people have deep seated feelings of inferiority and it temporarily bolsters their self esteem to try to portray others as less intelligent with their impolite remarks. I feel sorry about them.
