Why do people feel the urge to go UNDER the speed bound when merging?
Old people need their licenses taken away.. As should the minivan driving soccer moms who think they should not go so fast with their kids in the car. Not only does this piss everyone off, but it really hurts the flow of traffic and decreases efficiency which can lead to more accidents.

rash. I think not. you have to be one of those people who because more accidents because you think going slower will give you a better chance..guess what, statistically you increase you chance by going slower. not to talk about you may be able to get a ticket for going to slow.

I agree, they think driving slower is safe, but they also have to think if they drive too slow, accidents may also happen.

If people who drive 90 MPH in the right lane could move to the left it could not be a problem now could it. there's no passing on the right. there's a reason for that.

What is worse is when the acctually STOP when they are supposed to merge.
I got in an accident once because I was wanting to see if any cars comed, and I hit the car in front of me because it came to a stop when no cars comed. It was my fault, but I has been pissed.

Because majority of people are idiots who do not know how to drive.

Merging at the speed bound or whatever the traffic is doing whichever is less is the safest way to enter a freeway although if you are in the left lane or right lane if you drive on the wrong side of the road like the yanks you may want to move over to let someone to merge if you may be able to.

Not all old people need their licences taken away, only some of them although I have had some near misses with the ones that do .

Maybe because it is way to easy to get a drivers license. There should be compulsory retesting every year.Get the people who aren't qualified off the road.

Maybe it is because they have to look back to merge, and do not want to smash into the car in front of them.

People are stupid when it comes to driving. The idiot on the cellphone, the idiot changing her pants while driving talk about distraction haha . Merging just flow in with traffic, yes the person in the right lane expect 18 wheelers should move over, but the odds of to get back in are thin. Because that idiot you let in, will not let you back over. haha. But that is just how the drivers work, keep your cool. do not get violent. Keep your 10second gap &lt, In California haha it is a joke I know.

Either they are unaware that their merging because they are on the phone, or they scared to go faster because they are cowards

They are trying to be safe. you're trying to be rash and snobbish. you'll die. they'll live. Then you'll understand.
