Why does my 1994 Nissan Maxima V6 stalls out intermittently at speeds of 40 50 MPH?
My mechanic test drove the car and of course it never stalled. I have changed the fuel filter. I have generally used regular fuel. Do I need premium fuel?

i have a 1996 and its one of two things you got ya some floating garbage from filling up when the truck filled the tanks at the station or change your feul filter that I'm sure of. The gas thing happened to me just after filling my car at a service station with the hose in the tank

definatly fuel related may be debris or more elusive and hard to track down water may be just a little water trapped in the tank attempt running it completly empty and see if it gets worse

definitly a fuel problem. my guess could be that your fuel injectors are plugged with crap. run a bottle of gumout fuel injector cleaner or a complete fuel system cleaner by lucas or STP. premium fuel wont do crap. runs good on regular or center. take it to pepboys they'll sort you out
remember to have regular maintainence
