I Have a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse and all I have under the Hood is A cold air Intake. It sounds load under like if I had an Exhaust Pipe near the Engine. I think it sounds More deafening under The Hood Then the Stocked Exhaust it has.

this happened to two of my cuzins.1 of em has a neon and the engine is just crap and the other one has a honda THAT isn't RICED OUT and he's a hole in his exhaust

You must have a really bad exhaust leak, be sure your manifold doesn',t have any cracks in it, be sure the pipe itself is good too, not loose and not cracked anywhere. you may want to be able to listen to the exhaust side to see if you may be able to spot the loudest area and look there. There may be a hole in the pipe if its old or something.

From your description you most likely have a leak in your exhaust manifold gasket, or a hole in the manifold itself. The only other possibility is the Oring between your exhaust pipe and the manifold needs to be replaced.
