Why does the tire pressure light always come on on my BMW?

I just bought new tires and the light keeps coming on. I keep checking the pressure and manually turning the light off, but it comes on about six miles down the road. Does weather change or elevation get influence these sensors? Or do I just have a bad/faulty sensor?

Did you put in new sensors? T.P.S. are supposed to be replaced when you purchase new tires. The battery inside wears out.
