Because most of them are impolite northern transplants who brought their bad attitudes and bad behavior with them.

It's not just South Florida. People do that everywhere because people only think about themselves. They give no thought to how their actions will influence others.

same may be said about central FL and that is only because we can get away with it

LOL.. As a south Floridan I had to laugh..cause it is TRUE. People here drive like the highways are a battleground, and using a turn signal could "tip off the enemy." do not forget, how when you really come to a complete stop at a stop sign, you get honked at and yelled at, as if it were some serious traffic sin.

If you are ever on I 95 you will totally get my "battlefield" analogy. Good Luck.

Huh, I thought in Florida you tend to see people retirees who could leave their turn signals on for 50 miles. : P

Using turn signals could mean that south Floridians could really have to show some respect for others on the road. it's a rare event, in north Florida for drivers use turn signals, stop at stop signs, and yield to pedestrians at a right turn on red signal.

Central Floridians are the same. Every time I look around there is someone ahead of me turning at the last minute.
