I have an 07 chevy colorado LS that has a factory am/fm radio. What I'd like to know is if a GM factory CD player will fit from a great prix? specificly if the wireing harnesses are the same,

I'd look to be sure it does not have the theftlock feature. I have heard that in some way the decks that have that security feature are tied to that particular car.

Besides that, if the harness is the same plugs, you may want to be good.

Wiring harnesses tend to be the same. What you really want to check for is the correct fitment into your stereo slot. If it is the same one or the same size, it should be no problem. It could be exactly transferable.

If the plugs in the back are all the same, then yes. But there's no ensure they'll be. I have three factory GM stereos, all old tape decks, three consecutive years, and they're all different.

ALL gm radios from 2003 to early 2007 have the same plugs and it'll fit
the porblem is that the radio and the car needs to send to the dealer because the radio needs the vin number of the car to turn on there's no other way the radio will lock two seconds after is plug in to the wrong car or the vin numbers do not match
