they're now in the procedure of to get new cars the R160.
These will replace cars bought in the 1960s. it'll take at least another year before all the new cars are delivered.
At present there are at least three full trains ten cars each of R160s on the N line. These cars are being tested in service.
To Mr. E: bf she??? Well whatever. The subway cars are as large as they may be otherwise they could scrape the tunnel walls an worse.

My bf says they may be wider but that is why I drive, I have not been in subway cars for a long time so have nothing to offer other than what she's said to me.
