those should be good. I use two ton jack stands for my 85 Buick and that thing weighs 4000 lbs. Just jack up the front end somewhat, slide the stands under the frame, lower onto the stands, then put a small amount of pressure on the jack also for extra safety. I generally do this so that one of the stands can not kick out and flal since the jack could catch the weight. Just be safe and take your time.

Always purchase a stand rated at least 50 % higher than what you think you'll use its rated cap. for $ 20 is too cheap ..

You are good, you car may weigh 3500 pounds total, and most of that weight will be at you back tires since you're lifting only the front of the car and the back will remain on the ground so your jack stands will only see maybe 500 1000 pounds. Just be cautious where put the stands make they're resting on a hard surface under the car.

I think the two ton jacks will do just good. make sure to set emergency brake and put wheel chocks behind rear wheels so the car does not roll. Also do on a level ground as possible.

Look on the jack/ jack cover etc. that came with the car for a chart of where to place the jack stands, e brake and a block of wood behind one of the rear tires and you'll be good. Just remember to never work on a car if it's only being supported by a jack. Good luck.
