Our Respect for Copyright
Car Forum World respects the rights of copyright owners and expects the same from the people who contribute to or use the site. If you believe something on carforumworld.com copies your work without permission, you can ask us to remove it.
How to Send a Takedown Notice
Email your notice to legal@carforumworld.com. To be valid under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), it should include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you say was infringed.
- The URL on Car Forum World where the material appears.
- Your contact details, including an email address.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
What We Do After a Valid Notice
When the Car Forum World Editorial Team receives a notice that has these parts, we review it and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the material. We may pass your notice, or a summary, to the person responsible for the content.
If a notice is missing required information, we may ask you to complete it before we act.
Counter-Notices
If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. It should identify the removed material and where it appeared, include your contact details and your signature, and state under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith the removal was a mistake. We may forward it to the original complainant.
Repeat Infringers
It is our policy to take appropriate action, where it applies, against anyone who is found to repeatedly infringe copyright.
Please Note
Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing can have legal consequences. For other questions, see our Terms of Service or write to contact@carforumworld.com.
