4. Ford Self-Washing Front/Rear Cameras
The 2016 Ford Edge and Explorer crossover SUVs come with front and rear cameras that provide a 180-degree wide-angle view. These cameras assist drivers in seeing around corners when the view from the driver’s seat is blocked. An additional feature is automatic lens washers to maintain a clear view under all weather conditions.
5. Cadillac Rearview Camera Mirror
Starting next year, the new Cadillac CT6 luxury car will include a streaming-video rearview mirror. This feature provides a panoramic view behind the car that isn’t blocked by passengers’ heads, headrests or rear window pillars. It is touted to enhance the rear field of vision by 300 percent. However, if preferred, the system can be switched back to a traditional mirror mode.
